May 25, 2009 (PARK RIDGE, Ill.) -- A suburban Chicago high school teacher has been charged with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse after police say she admitted having a relationship with a former 16-year-old student.
Authorities say 38-year-old Jennifer Espinosa was ordered held on $50,000 bond Monday. Cook County sheriff's investigators say they found the Maine East High School science and special education teacher in her car with the boy on Saturday while on patrol.
The boy was expelled from Maine East in September. Police say Espinosa told them the relationship began after the teen's expulsion. She said they have had sex at her home, in her car and at the high school.
A phone message left at Espinosa's home was not immediately
