With record number of American households stretching dollars to meet their basic food needs, BJ’s Wholesale Club announced it is expanding payment options to its members by accepting government-issued food stamp benefits via Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) payments.
BJ’s is the first U.S. wholesale club to accept EBT chainwide, including its local club location in Medford on Middlesex Avenue.
The Natick–based BJ’s Wholesale Club operates 180 clubs in 15 states, including: Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Virginia.
